Juicer came and gone

So I had purchased a juicer from Costco, made by Salton.  It looked exactly the same as the Hurom juicer (my coworker has that juicer and we compared it) that cost twice as much (I paid just over 200$ for mine tax included).  I had it for just over a month and the part that looks like the strainer cracked.  Good thing, Costco has an amazing return policy and back it goes.  You can tell just by handling the parts that the Hurom juicer is a much better quality machine than the Salton one.  The fact that my coworker has the Hurom one for 4 years and it's still in perfect condition and my Salton cracked after a month... I have to say you get what you pay for.  I didn't notice the crack until the day I juiced raspberries.  I think maybe the seeds were too much for that juicer to handle.  But boy, that raspberry juice was the best juice I've ever had!

While I had the juicer, I used it everyday for a morning green juice.  I have this recipe from my coworker who swears by the drink.  Apparently it does wonders for the skin.  At the same time that I started to drink the juice, I also started to use rosehip oil on my face.  Maybe it was the placebo effect or maybe it was the rosehip oil or the drink, but I did noticed that my skin seemed clearer and smoother.

Another change that I noticed is that I was VERY regular.

Now I am without a juicer.. I am hoping that the Omega vrt (again same design as the Hurom and Salton juicer) will go on sale on Amazon so I can purchase it.  I just can't really talk myself in spending full price for a juicer at 400$... The Omega was on sale at some point back in April for 299$ so I think that would be the trigger price for me.

Ok while I wait for my juicer, for those who has one in their house and want to try the green juice, here's the recipe.  It is recommended to be drank in the morning on an empty stomach.

1/2 karela (bitter melon)
1/3 english cucumber
1/2 green pepper
1/2 green apple
2 celery stalk

I also added 1/2 lime and a piece of ginger, which is not from the original recipe.
